Fr. Agnel College of Arts and Commerce, Pilar- Goa, was established in June 1991 by Xaverian Educational Society, Pilar, and belonging to the Society of the Missionaries of the St. Francis Xavier, which is commonly known as the Society of Pilar. The College is a minority Institution founded under the provision of article 30 of the Indian Constitution.
Fr. Agnel College also prepares students for admission to colleges and universities throughout the world through their various courses into the form of degree and certificate courses.

Fr. Agnel College Library is fully computerized with the help of New Gen Lib Software and is one of the finest college libraries in Goa. The library not only provides up-to-date facts and information on all subjects to readers but also teach how to search information and gain knowledge.

The library has the collection of more than 15, 000 documents, which include encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference books, journals, maps/charts, and audio-video collections. The College Library has 11436 books, subscribes to 48 journals with an in-house photocopy facility.
